Finally Get Clarity, Direction and a Plan for Your Post Concussion Recovery

For people who are tired of going around in circles.

You've rested and waited.

You've tried returning to ‘normal life’.

You've searched the online groups, listened to the podcasts, watched the videos.

You’ve read the books, if you’re even able to read at the moment.

You've spent hours trying to work out what might help - and what might be a waste of time, and yet you're still asking yourself:

"What am I actually supposed to do to recover?"

Living with persistent post concussion symptoms can feel incredibly isolating, confusing and endless. I know, I’ve been there.

You may look fine on the outside, while privately managing headaches, fatigue, dizziness, brain fog, overwhelm, anxiety, poor sleep, sensitivity to noise or light, and the constant uncertainty of progress followed by setbacks.

Perhaps the hardest part is that nobody seems able to give you a clear roadmap.

Just more things to try, more conflicting advice, more uncertainty, hoping and guessing.

If that sounds familiar, you're not alone.

You don’t have to just learn to live with it. There is another way.

A Health and Wellbeing Approach to Post Concussion Recovery

Recovery isn't about finding the one missing treatment, or waiting for things to improve.

More often, it's about understanding the multiple factors that may be keeping you stuck - and learning how to support your body, mind and brain in a practical, sustainable way.

My approach brings together evidence-informed strategies from across health, wellbeing and neuroscience based approaches to help you understand your recovery more clearly and create a personalised plan that works for you.

Not a one-size-fits-all protocol.

Not another list of random things to try.

A structured way to make sense of your recovery and move forwards with confidence, even through the barriers and set-backs along the way.

Why This Is Different

Most people with persistent symptoms end up taking a scattergun approach and have little idea what helped or what didn't.

What's often missing is a structure and a strategy, and someone who’s already been through it and come out the other side.

I can give you a way to understand:

  • Which factors might be relevant to you

  • What the evidence says

  • Where to focus your energy

  • What to prioritise

  • How to track what's helping

  • How to avoid wasting time, money and hope

I work alongside you to help you build that strategy, create your own personal plan, and gradually, week by week, to see the upward spiral of recovery. You don’t have to keep battling on alone.

Imagine If...

Instead of feeling lost, stuck and overwhelmed...

You had increased awareness of your symptoms and how to ease them, not fight with them.

You had a clear plan and focus.

You had others to learn from and share with, who are going through post concussion or have recovered.

You feel more confident in your recovery, more hopeful, more in control.

More able to live your life again.

What You'll Learn

On The Post Concussion Wellbeing Course you'll explore evidence-informed topics that influence recovery:

  • Learn why symptoms sometimes persist long after the initial brain injury and what current research suggests may be contributing.

  • Understand the critical role of nervous system regulation and practical ways to help your body feel safer, calmer and more resilient.

  • Explore and apply simple principles from the neuroscience of pain to address chronic head pain and tinnitus.

  • Discover why stable energy is important for brain health and recovery - even if you've not considered nutrition as part of the picture before.

  • Understand how to build confidence with movement and exercise again - even if it currently seems impossible.

  • Get the right balance of quality sleep and strategic rest to manage fatigue.

  • Identify your own beliefs and mindsets that can both support and undermine your recovery.

  • Learn from barriers and set-backs to make informed progress going forwards without getting ‘stuck’ again.

  • Use a personalised plan to apply these tools every day, supporting an upward spiral of recovery.

Why I Created The Post Concussion Wellbeing Course

My name is Clare Sharpen, I live in London and am married with 3 children. In June 2023, I suffered a concussion after fainting and falling head-first down a flight of steps. Unable to work, read, drive or look after my family, I spent over 2 years researching and learning how to support post concussion recovery, and finally after 3 long years considered myself fully recovered. It was a long, confusing and isolating journey, and I felt it had been far harder than it should have been.

Convinced that a whole health and wellbeing approach was a missing part of the recovery puzzle, in 2025 I became a UKIHCA Registered Health Coach, and created this course to shine a light on the way forwards for others suffering with post concussion symptoms. I am now fitter, stronger and healthier than I was before the concussion, with a greater sense of clarity, peace and purpose.

My hope is that I can support others not just to ‘get back’ to where they were, but to move forwards into the who they want to become. Because there is life after post concussion.
