Ready to find a new way forwards?

Living with post-concussion symptoms can be confusing, frustrating and, at times, incredibly isolating.

You're doing your best to recover, but it can be hard to make sense of what's helping, what's not, and where to focus your energy. Many people find themselves feeling stuck, overwhelmed and unsure what to do next.

What they often need isn't more information. They need clarity, direction and a practical plan.

Even if you've been experiencing symptoms for months or years, there are always opportunities to better support your health and wellbeing and make progress towards the life you want to live.

I'm Clare Sharpen

A UKIHCA Registered Health Coach and founder of The Brain Health Coach.

Following a concussion in 2023, I spent more than two years navigating my own Post-Concussion Syndrome. Like many people, I found myself searching for answers, trying different approaches and wondering if I'd ever get back to living life fully again.

That experience led me to train as a Health Coach and dedicate my work to supporting others on a similar journey.

Today, I combine professional health coaching, lived experience and evidence-based approaches to help people better understand their symptoms and identify practical ways to support their recovery.

Work with your physiology, not against it

My approach takes a whole-person view of recovery.

Together, we'll explore the foundations that can influence how you feel, including sleep, stress, energy, nutrition, movement, chronic pain and nervous system regulation.

Rather than relying on guesswork, you'll learn how these factors interact and how to create a personalised approach that works for you. This includes explaining and signposting to other clinical services such as physio or psychotherapy, if you’re not already accessing these, as this can seem like another minefield.

My role isn't to fix you or provide a magic solution. It's to help light the way - giving you the understanding, tools and support to navigate your own recovery with greater confidence.

The goal is simple: to help you become more informed, more empowered and more able to make decisions that support your health, wellbeing and quality of life.
